Night Owl Pediatrics was created through the vision of its partners Dr. Jim Hopkins & Dr. Robert Sapien. They could see that the majority of patients in the ER were not there for life threatening emergencies, but for problems more complex than those handled in a normal pediatrics office. Additionally, these problems need attention predominantly at night. Families need a place to take their children for urgent health care, where they can receive appropriate care from physicians trained to handle emergency treatment of children.

Drs. Hopkins & Sapien felt there needed to be a place where patients who waited for long hours in large emergency rooms for minor emergencies could be seen in a timely manner. When regular physician's offices are closed, children still become ill and injured, and deserve to be seen and receive the care they need without sitting and waiting long hours in the emergency room. Such a facility would help parents avoid taking time off work and spending their nights in the ER as well.

Night Owl Pediatrics began to take shape. We wanted a facility that had the necessary equipment, with a child friendly environment. We wanted to provide quality care at a reasonable price.

Night Owl Pediatrics Urgent Care is a facility with much of the same equipment and supplies found in most emergency rooms. We also have staff trained in emergency room procedures.
